Class of 1978 - Tom Tye has wasted no time making an impact on the community since his graduation from KHS in 1978. After finishing his law degree at Creighton in 1986, he became the third generation to practice law at what is now Tye Rowling Law Firm. Tom has held leadership roles in many professional associations throughout the county and state. He is a tremendous champion of multiple non-profit organizations including Boy Scouts of America, Nebraska Public Radio Foundation, Kearney Family YMCA, Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Kearney, UNK Chancellors Advisory Council, Red Cross, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, Yanney Heritage Park Foundation, Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben, Museum of Nebraska Art, The University of Nebraska Foundation and Farmers and Merchants Bank. Tom serves tirelessly and is a big part of why KHS Alumni see a thriving community when they come home. We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of this Kearney High School Distinguished Graduate. |
