KHS Theater

Thanks to you the Kearney High School Concert Hall and Theater (CHAT) is one of only two in the country with this unique and impressive design.

We can all thank the Ron and Carol Cope Foundation for the major gift that allowed us to pursue this incredible space.

Within its 5,500 square feet is a stage, choir loft, and a resizeable aperture that adapts to performances by band, orchestra, chorus, and theater. There is no ‘bad seat’ among the 1001 seats. From the extensive audio system, a high-tech video system, to the moveable ceiling that arranges lighting with the flip of a switch this theater helps students prepare for modern productions anywhere in the world.

On the back of many of the seats are the names of supporters who helped to bring CHAT from a dream to reality.
